Services for Hearing-Impaired Climbers

During the preparation stage of the Climb, all customers are provided with headsets to receive the Climb Leader's commentary out on the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

To assist Climbers with hearing aids, we can provide Neck Loops that can be used in conjunction with our FM radio system. The Neck Loops have a T-switch, which enables Climbers to hear the Climb Leader's full commentary. Based on availability of the neck loops, you can book your Climb on any day and at any time with this option.

BridgeClimb also offer Auslan Climbs. On an Auslan Climb you’ll be accompanied by an Australian Sign Language interpreter who will interpret the commentary about Sydney and its world famous Bridge. Depending on demand, Auslan Climbs are provided on the fourth Saturday and fourth Tuesday of each month, at 13.45 pm, unless otherwise stated.

For more information about these services and how to book, please contact us.

On 26 July 2010 we met Carleeta Manser who is 100% vision and hearing impaired. Carleeta Climbed to the summit of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and you can watch her amazing achievement below.
