The Mandarin Climb (English)
Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of Australia's most loved icons. But to Sydneysiders it is much more than a photogenic landmark. It spans our sparkling harbour and dominates our stunning skyline. It's the pride of our city and we want to share it with the world.
Our local Mandarin-speaking Climb Leaders will be your guide to the top of the Bridge. The trip up is unforgettable - with spectacular views spanning from the Pacific Ocean to the Blue Mountains - the climb is the ultimate introduction to Sydney.
Nearly 3 million local and international people, from as young as ten to the wise old age of 100, have climbed to the top of the Bridge with us. We have welcomed all - loved-up couples, big families and celebrities like Xia Yiu.
Safety is very important to us. The climb is exhilarating, but extremely safe. Your Climb Leader is specially trained to guide you to the top, so that during your climb you can focus on enjoying this unique and rewarding experience.
The Climb:
The climb starts at our Climb Base at 3 Cumberland Street in The Rocks. Our local mandarin-speaking Climb Leader will welcome you on arrival and equip you with everything you need to climb the Bridge, including our specially designed suit to keep you comfortable and safe.
The climb ascends via the lower arch of the Bridge, for views through the spectacular structure and out across the harbour and the city. Your Climb Leader will guide you throughout the journey, sharing stories about Sydney culture, the city and our connection with China.
Once you reach the top of the lower arch, you will take a staircase to the upper arch and stand on the very summit of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The view is the most spectacular in the city - a 360 degree panorama over the whole of Sydney.
After a summit celebration with your group, you will walk across the top of the Bridge to the Darling Harbour side to make your descent to our Climb Base. Everyone who climbs receives a free group photo*, a BridgeClimb cap, a personalised certificate of achievement, and a pass to The Pylon Lookout.
