An unforgettable tour down under

On Sunday 29 October 2017, the St Helens Rugby League under 18s Squad, climbed to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge as part of their yearly Academy tour. In 7 years, over 150 of the Academy’s players and staff have climbed to the Summit of the Bridge to witness 360 degrees of unforgettable, and they keep coming back for more!

Neil Kilshaw, Performance & Welfare Manager for the Academy stated: Alongside the sporting element of our tours we like to create some lasting memories for the team of their time in Australia.

He continued: “We have been undertaking Academy tours since 2004 and we always climb the Bridge on our final day and see it as a fitting conclusion to our 3 week tour.”

“BridgeClimb is a fantastic experience and provides some lasting memories and images of an amazing city. The guides are friendly and knowledgeable providing engaging dialogue. Personally I have climbed 6 times now and I always look forward to it as the end of an action packed sporting tour.”

The St Helens R.F.C. Academy has produced some of the finest youngsters, potential stars and internationals the world of rugby league has seen and BridgeClimb is excited and privileged to keep welcoming them to experience unforgettable views over the sparkling Sydney Harbour.
