Ashes Legends Sir Ian Botham OBE and Damien Martyn Climb Sydney Harbour Bridge
One English and one Australian cricketing legend, Sir Ian Botham OBE (Beefy) and Damien Martyn (Marto), journeyed to the summit of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, 134 metres above the sparking harbour.
Beefy, who was planning a ‘Bucket-list’ climb with his wife and two daughters, challenged Marto to join them during a recent lunch.
Their on-pitch rivalry was left on the ground during the ascent of the famous arches. After reaching the top and taking in the 360 degree view, the two legends took a few minutes to reflect on a tour match they had played against each other, even posing for a photograph together at the summit.
