3 things to do over New Year's weekend

Are you ready to ring in the New Year? We can’t wait to watch the fireworks display and start 2018 with a bang, spending New Year’s Day on the arches of the Bridge. We’ve put together a list of the best things to do over the New Year’s weekend:

Saturday: Say goodbye to 2017 with a view like this

Did you know you can still Climb on the 30th of December? There is no better way to send off the past year than standing 134 metres above Sydney Harbour.  And the 1332 steps to the summit are a great way to get a little exercise and burn off all those Christmas meals and treats!

Sunday: Watch the spectacular fireworks display

The Bridge is the real star of New Year’s Eve. And, even though there are no Climbs on the 31st of December (the Bridge needs to get ready for her stellar performance!), we will be nearby to watch the show. This year, a rainbow waterfall of fireworks will cascade from Sydney Harbour Bridge to celebrate Australians saying ‘Yes’ to marriage equality.

The festivities will kick off at 6pm, although you may want to claim your spot much earlier to make sure you get a good view! Check out Sydney New Year’s Eve Website for the best vantage points.

If you’re not in Sydney to enjoy the show, the firework display will be live-streamed on Sydney New Year's Eve Website, so make sure you tune in!

Monday: Start the year ticking an item off your bucket list

Get 2018 off to a good start by climbing to the summit of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. We are open bright and early on the 1st of January, so why wait any longer to start fulfilling your New Year’s Resolutions? Make 2018 the year you start ticking things off your bucket list – join us at the summit for a celebration like no other!
