Whiffenpoofs of Yale’s Spectacular Summit Performance atop the Sydney Harbour Bridge

On Saturday 13th August, eleven members the world's oldest and best-known collegiate a cappella group, the Whiffenpoofs of Yale, climbed to the summit of the Sydney Harbour Bridge for most unique performance 134 metres above the Sydney Harbour.

Following their ascent to the top of the iconic steel arches, the Whiffenpoofs put a whole new meaning to pitch perfect as they harmonised to the likes of “Down by the Salley Gardens”, “House of the Rising Sun”, and their traditional closing number, “The Whiffenpoof Song”.

Christian Probst, Whiffenpoofs’ member and Australia tour manager said, “When we first approached the topic of planning our trip to Sydney we knew that the BridgeClimb was one of our top priorities.

We felt it was fitting for one of the world’s most iconic singing groups to perform on top of the world’s most iconic bridge.”

Having recently performed for Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, Secretary of State John Kerry and Dame Julie Andrews, this special event climb highlights the second-last leg to their world-wide tour across 22 countries.
