Frucor Beverages Case Study

Frucor Beverages' Business Technology team 'Away Day'

TYPE

Frucor Beverages is a manufacturing company who produce and sell non-alcoholic beverages including V Energy Drink, H2go water, Maximus and also distributes Pepsi and Gatorade in New Zealand.

The company organises annual 'Frucor BT Away Days’, where the teams from New Zealand and Australia come together to strategise and plan for the year ahead, as well as bond as a team.

This year, with the Away Day being in Sydney and the majority of the team coming from New Zealand, Frucor’s Business Technology Manager, Barbara Ciancio, wanted to choose an iconic team building experience that really showed off Sydney. BridgeClimb Sydney offered exactly this.

WHAT HAPPENED

Barbara chose the 2.25 hour BridgeClimb Express; the fastest way to the summit of the Bridge. The group came off the Bridge straight into an exclusive space where lunch was served, making use of one of BridgeClimb’s food and beverage enhancement options, designed specifically for corporate groups.

Making full use of the exclusive space, Barbara worked with the BridgeClimb team to host their afternoon session in BridgeClimb’s cinema, allowing Frucor to continue with their strategy planning and undertake some further team building activities of their own.

DIFFICULTIES

The result of the careful planning was that this event ran seamlessly and without incident. Frucor’s dedicated event planner made full use of BridgeClimb’s Corporate Event Team to ensure that her objectives from the day were realised.

SPECIAL TOUCHES

The Frucor group was spread over two Climb departures, so BridgeClimb arranged for the groups to come together at the summit for a large group photo.

The additional flexibility provided to Frucor to conduct their own team building activities in the cinema, enabled Barbara to effectively host the entire Away Day in one place, whilst combining it with an iconic Sydney experience.

CLIENT'S COMMENTS

Barbara described the climb experience as, “Amazing…the weather was incredible and the team really took away a better appreciation of the city. We had a few with a fear of heights, which proved to rally the team closer together. We will certainly leave as a stronger team”.
