Lucky Lunar New Year Party 134 Metres above Sydney Harbour

On 8th February, guests, including eight lucky competition winners, climbed to the summit of an Australian icon as part of Sydney’s Chinese New Year celebrations.

From check-in, to summiting to the top of the Bridge, each Climber enjoyed an array of surprises along their journey to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

The special event Climb began with a lucky red envelope containing their ticket to the sky-high celebration and ‘Lucky the Dog’ a BridgeSuit wearing soft toy dog created for the first 1,000 participants of The Karaoke Climb 2018.

As each Climber reached the summit, they were surprised with a live musical performance from Tina Gao, a popular singer in the Australian Chinese community, who performed 我的中国心 (My Chinese Heart).

The entertainment continued with a touch of ‘harbour side dining’ as guests enjoyed lucky traditional Chinese cakes from China Town’s famous Golden Century Seafood Restaurant while taking in 360 degree views of Sydney Harbour.

They then continued the celebrations and sang altogether, kicking off The Karaoke Climb with a rendition of 甜蜜蜜 (Almost a Love Story).
