The World's Biggest Monopoly Fan Collects Iconic 2000th Edition on top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge

The world’s largest Monopoly fan and Guinness World Record holder for the most Monopoly boards owned, Neil Scallan from West Sussex in England climbed to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge earlier today to collect his 2,000th edition.

Mr. Scallan chose Sydney to collect his latest board, the BridgeClimb Monopoly edition, in epic style. Winning Moves – manufacturers of the world's hottest board games and makers of the custom Monopoly ranges – and BridgeClimb arranged for the Englishman to be presented with his latest product at the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, with Mr Monopoly himself there joining the summit celebrations.

The celebration kicked off at 7.00am, when Mr. Scallan and Mr. Monopoly embarked on a Bucket-List journey to the bridge summit, and enjoyed a 360 degree view of the great city and landmarks that the special edition board represents.

Mr. Scallan explains, “My obsession with collecting Monopoly boards only started 10 years ago when I was on holiday. I wanted to buy a souvenir that reminded me of the trip, but a keyring or a fridge magnet was too predictable so I opted for a Monopoly board and that’s where it all began. So it’s incredibly fitting that my 2,000th edition was collected on an international trip!”

The BridgeClimb Monopoly edition takes players on the climb of their lives to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and offers the ultimate view across Sydney's sparkling harbour and famous landmarks.
