A NEW IMMERSIVE MUSEUM EXPERIENCE

While BridgeClimb delivers the thrill of standing above Sydney Harbour, the BridgeMuseum offers a complementary experience: an immersive, self-guided journey through the Bridge’s history.

Through interactive displays, historic memorabilia, and rich multimedia storytelling, visitors can explore the Bridge’s design, engineering, construction, and cultural significance in depth.

Known previously as the Pylon Lookout & Museum, which first opened in 2003 by BridgeClimb, the South-East Pylon of the Sydney Harbour Bridge has its own rich history and stories to tell. Originally opened as a tourist attraction in 1934, offering panoramic views across Sydney Harbour, and playing host to many interesting chapters of Sydney’s history over the years – including a post office, a military lookout during WWII, and even home to a family of white cats for several years. In 2026, the Pylon was revitalised and the BridgeMuseum created - offering visitors an engaging experience that brings the Bridge’s story to life – from its construction to its ongoing role in the living history of Sydney.
